On the Forbidden Vancouver Tour you’ll explore prohibition-era Gastown, a time of bootlegging, rum-running, and speakeasies.

Tom & Nancy O'Connell have asked us to organize a golf trip for their O. R. golf friends to British Columbia. We'll visit Vancouver & Whistler - two of Canada's most popular destinations. Participants fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR), spend 2 nights at the Delta Suites by Marriott Downtown Vancouver with one day touring, continue north to Whistler for six nights at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort, awarded in 2025 as Condé Nast Traveler: Reader’s Choice #1 Resort in Canada. We will play four rounds of golf and enjoy a free day of leisure in Whistler. Then spend one more night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel which is conveniently located in the Vancouver International Airport Terminal, providing super easy access to airline check-ins and departure gates.

Big Sky Golf Course
One of the top public courses in Canada according to Golf Digest and Canada's Score Magazine, Big Sky is BIG FUN! Big Sky was designed to be a modern take on link style golf. This wonderful design allows the course to naturally role along the Pemberton Valley floor without drastically changing the landscape of the land. Modern touches, however, greet you throughout the course as several giant ponds come into play throughout the course.
Don't forget to bring your camera! Big Sky features the most amazing views of the Pemberton Valley from it's base of Mount Currie Mountain. You will see panoramic views of Mount Currie and the surrounding mountain ranges all set against a very BIG SKY! The course is located about 30 minutes north of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and it is well worth the drive.
The Sea to Sky Gondola at Squamish
The ride up to the summit provides sweeping views of Howe Sound, the majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains. Every gondola cabin has a maximum capacity of 8 passengers. The gondolas feature a level entrance/exit point, making them wheelchair and stroller accessible. The gondola cabins are custom-made by Swiss manufacturer CWA, and the gondola itself is manufactured by Austrian manufacturer Doppelmayr. We have comfortable padded seats and floor to ceiling glass windows for maximum views. The ride up and down is a thrilling adventure for all ages and provides new views of Shannon Falls and the famous Stawamus Chief climbing area. Once at the top, many other adventures await. You will have access to a wide array of outdoor experiences, including two different interpretive loop walking trails with cantilevered viewing platforms, the spectacular Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, numerous hiking trails, rock climbing, access trails to backcountry routes and much more.

Take a glass elevator up 168 meters (553 feet) to enjoy a 360° view that includes Stanley Park, historic Gastown, the Northshore mountains and the vibrant downtown core. Vancouver Lookout has been an iconic element of the city’s skyline since 1977. Learn about Vancouver from information panels located throughout the deck or follow the complimentary self-guided audio tour – available in six different languages. Free Wi-Fi is available. We'll also have lunch at the Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant which offers a winning combination of great food and a magical panoramic view.
Nicklaus North Golf Club
Located seven minutes from the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort, Nicklaus North stands out as one of the great courses in North America. It's no wonder this is only one of a few rare golf courses in the world bearing Jack Nicklaus' name. Snowcapped Whistler peaks. A brilliant emerald-colored lake. Majestic fir trees. Nicklaus North, which is located between Green Lake and the River of Golden Dreams and was built with consideration for the natural environment of the area, offers breathtaking vistas of glacial mountains. This par 71, 18-hole layout meanders along the valley floor and offers golfers a well maintained, scenic round of golf.
